Ana & Abe are Married: A Kansas City wedding

November 16, 2015

So much beauty and so much love.  Congratulations to Abe and Ana on your marriage.  You hosted an absolutely fabulous Kansas City wedding…and these are just some of the highlights to tell the story of your wedding day.

Abe gave his groomsmen cufflinks to match their personality.  kansas city wedding photography 2

Ana’s mother made the veil and did the alterations for her dress (including putting in the red back to match their wedding colors).  kansas city wedding photography 3 kansas city wedding photography 4

Abe prepared for his bride to start the walk down the aisle.  It doesn’t take long for his eyes to fill with tears when he sees Ana.kansas city wedding photography 5 kansas city wedding photography 6

Not only was their ceremony rich with Catholic tradition, but Ana and Abe also included other cultural wedding symbols into their marriage ceremony.  They exchanged Arras wedding coins from the Hispanic culture.  From the Indian culture they incorporated the El Lazo (lasso rosary), Garland, and Thaali.

What a good looking bridal party! We choose to take their photographs after the wedding at the Nelson because it is a Kansas City icon, had great architecture, and pretty green space.

The rooftop of the Westin had a great view, so we took a few moments to take a few photographs with the city as their theme.  The reception was decorated beautifully with flower, candles, and uplighting.  They served amazing food with a plated dinner and headed into the cutting of the cake, toasts, and the dances.  kansas city wedding photography 13 kansas city wedding photography 14 kansas city wedding photography 15

Union Station was decked out in Royal’s blue to celebrate the Kansas City team’s win.   And the skyline was just as beautiful at night.kansas city wedding photography 16

Congratulation to you again, Ana and Abe.  I am honored that you choose me to capture your special day.

Yours,
