Stunning is all I can say about Matt & Liz’s wedding. It was beautiful from beginning to end, and not just because of the incredible job they did in planning the special details and finding awesome vendors to work with. It also had to do with the fact that Liz and Matt are an amazing couple. And their friends and family were a blast to work with all day long. The day started at the Ambassador Hotel in Downtown Kansas City. My second photographer and I decided that we could shoot there all day long….it is a gorgeous hotel with great natural light in the Parlor Room. Liz’s mom helped her into her beautiful wedding dress before her bridal party had their first look of Liz in her gown. It was a special moment for them.
Then it was time for Matt & Liz to have their first look. So very sweet. We headed out to enjoy the incredibly hot day and capture some fun photographs with Kauffman and the skyline in the background.
Liz opened a very special gift from Matt in the bridal suite at their wedding and reception venue, The Aspen Room at the Stanley. What a beautiful place. Their outdoor ceremony went on without a hitch. I loved hearing their personalized vows and seeing each others reactions.
Downtown Lee’s Summit has so many great photo opportunities, so we had to take part in just a few fun minutes before the reception party started. Each of the guys had a special pair of socks picked out to specifically match their personality. Love it. 
Upon entering the reception venue, Matt & Liz had their first dance, which was stunning below the gorgeous chandeliers. The mother & son dance was very sweet and the father & daughter dance started off the same way…until they tore it up in some classically great dance moves. Everyone was in stitches.
What a cake. Wow. And a they looked great covered in it too.
Now….time for the dance party!
