Allison & Thomas celebrated their Kansas City wedding in style with family and friends.  Their day began at The Intercontinental Hotel on the Plaza with preparations and some portraits, followed by a trip to Loose Park, said their vows in a Village Presbyterian ceremony, and finished the party with a gorgeous Studio Dan Meiners wedding reception.

Are not these ladies lovely in their matching robes?

And how handsome is Tommy?  I love his shoes and cuff links…and the guys matching socks.

Before Ali & Thomas’s first look, they were both a little bit nervous.  But I think the wait and preparations were well worth the minor jitters.  Hotel Intercontinental wedding photography

I love the colors together.  Classic soft whites with the vibrant orchid purple and bright pops of red and pink.  And those navy blue suits tie it all together! Intercontinental Hotel Wedding Photography

At the church, Ali and her parents prepare for their first look.

And Tommy prepares for the ceremony.  Looks like this one from his grandmother is precious.  And the flower girl and ring bearer?  Too cute. Village Presbyterian Church Wedding Ceremony

The newlyweds’ grand entrance that went straight into their first dance.

Toasts!  With much laughter and a few good stories. Look at the way Ali looks at her groom!Studio Dan Meiners wedding reception photography

Followed by the father daughter dance and mother son dance. I love the hugs, tears, and loving smiles captured during these moments.

Cookies, tiny desserts, and milk shots.  Also, a cartoonist to make this wedding reception more memorable.

I love how very close friends the couple had.  The very last event of the night that we covered was a special sorority dance and fraternity serenade.  You can see how monumentous these events are to this group.

Ali and Tommy:  It was an honor capturing your wedding day!  Thank you.
