Country Club Christian | Meagan + Seth

August 27, 2019

Congrats to Meagan & Seth! They wed on July 27th at Country Club Christian Church in Kansas City with a reception following at The Brass on Baltimore. Their wedding day was gorgeous: Meagan did a great job putting together all the details for an amazing day.

They did not see each other before the ceremony but they did have a moment together before the ceremony. While waiting for this moment, Meagan was watching out the window at all the guests arriving. We both teared up at how beautiful it is to blend two amazing families. I know how touched they were for everyone to be there for them. At the end of the day, I asked them what their favorite part of the day was. They both quickly responded to how much it meant to have their friends and family there.

I love all the relationship-focused photographs from this day. Meagan’s father sees his girl for the first time in her wedding dress. Seth’s mothers countless embraces to her son on his wedding day. The first dances. The bridal party’s fun entrance. The anticipation of getting ready. The flower girl’s adoring glances. The excitement of the walk down the aisle. Above all, the walk back up the aisle as Mr. & Mrs.

The portraits before the wedding hold so much emotion. Meagan and Seth are surrounded by those they love most.

Ceremony

Right before the ceremony, Seth’s mom pinned on his boutonniere, guests started gathering, the attendants handed out programs, the mothers and bridal party said a prayer….and Seth and Meagan shared a pre-ceremony handhold. The ceremony was beautiful. Country Club Christian Church boasts lovely architecture and stained glass.

After family formals, we headed to Loose Park for some fun images with the bridal party and some wedding day portraits for the newlyweds. Are they not the sweetest together?

Cocktail Hour & Reception

Meanwhile, back at The Brass on Baltimore, the guests were enjoying a cocktail hour. Meagan and Seth decorated their reception with classic touches, which worked perfectly with the dark wood and stain glass venue. The grand entrance was a blast. Next Meagan’s grandmother gave her words of blessing and a prayer before dinner. Then it was time for the first dances, which is certainly one of my favorite events of this magical day.

This party knows how to have a great time. Look at the dancing and smiles.

Meagan & Seth, I adored photographing your special day. Thank you for trusting me to capture these special moments.
